Giving Back

Soldan's is beyond proud to support the Mid-Michigan community by donating and partnering with numerous local pet rescue groups.

Howard & Erna Soldan Dog Park

In 2010, Soldan's Pet Supplies was able to make a $50,000 donation to the dog park located at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan. We were awarded naming rights, and chose to honor our founders by calling the beautiful off leash 15-acre park the Howard & Erna Soldan Dog Park.

Want to take your pup there? You will need to apply for a Key FOB and can do so at Soldan's South Lansing, West Lansing, & Okemos locations. Please bring a current dog license and a proof of rabies vaccination.

Bark Park in Bay City, Michigan

Since February of 2018, Soldan's has supplied the Bark Park in Bay City, Michigan with Mutt-Mitts to help keep the grounds clean. This off-leash park is located on 800 Livingston Street in Bay City, Michigan.

Have A Heart Campaign

Each February, we accept donations to local pet rescue groups. When you donate, we'll give you a heart that you can put your pet's name on and we'll display them at our store for the entire month. All the money raised goes directly to our local pet rescue groups.

Since 2015, we have raised $6,584.00, all thanks to our awesome customers!

Adopt A Cat Month

Each spring thousands of kittens join the millions of cats already in humane societies and foster groups across the country. Your local pet rescue group has tons of cute cuddly newborns, mellow older cats, and everything in between.

We decided to get behind Adopt a Cat Month and throw in some extra perks. On top of giving away some of our favorite cat products to adopters, for every cat adopted the month of June, we give $5 directly to the humane society each cat was adopted from.

Since 2016, we were able to help adopt out 252 cats and donated $1,260 to our local pet rescue groups.

Doggy Fro-Yo Eating Contest

You think your pup has what it takes to eat a cup of Fro-Yo faster than the next? You'll have to catch us in August when we host our Fro-Yo Eating Contest for dogs.

Since 2016, we've had the pleasure of covering 541 dog faces with Fro-Yo, and have raised $2,927 for our local pet rescue organizations.

Pet Easter Egg Hunt

Since 2016, we have hosted a Pet Easter Egg Hunt at our Midland & Dewitt locations. Since the first hunt in 2016, collectively we have raised $4,159 in donations for New Hope & The Humane Society of Midland County.
